External Reviewers/Judges can score Applications so that Applicants are ranked and evaluated as required by your organisation. Reviewers can assign scores using structured Score-Bars, and this article will explain how a reviewer adds a score to an Application.
- Scoring Applications:
Logon to the portal using your login credentials. Typically, External Reviewers will have a Folder assigned to them, and within that Folder will be Applications for their review. Beside the Folder, click the ‘View’ button:
Once you click on ‘View’, all of the Applications within that Folder will appear on-screen. At the bottom of each Application, you will see the options ‘View’ and ‘Manage’:
Either option will bring you to the scoring feature, however, as an External Reviewer, you may want to click on ‘View’ to review the Application one last time before scoring. Once you click on ‘View’, the Application will show on the left-side of the screen, and a pop-up will appear on the right-side of the screen. In the pop-up, you will see the ‘Scoring’ option, and you will want to click on this:
Any Score-Bars that have been previously set-up to the Form will appear, and you will be able to move the blue circle up and down the score-bar to score the Application/Applicant:
N.B. You can create multiple Score-Bars if needed so that more critical criteria count for more of the final score. Reviewers can then assign a numeric score on each Score-Bar. The system will automatically calculate a total score per application based on these inputs.
2. Adding Notes to Scores:
If you have Scoring Notes enabled, Reviewers will be able to provide a justification by adding to the text box. All they have to do is click on the ‘Add Note’ button (please note that this button will only appear if you have Scoring Notes enabled):
A text box will pop-up, and you can enter your notes, then hit the green ‘Save’ button:
3. Sorting & Filtering Based on Scores
Once scores are in the system, you can:
- Sort applications by score (scored, not scored)
- Filter based on score brackets (e.g., show all apps scoring 80+)
- Use tags and score filters together to narrow down applicants
You can view Applicants that have a specific score, which will make it easier for you to determine if certain Applications are scored above a certain threshold. To filter Applications, navigate to the Folder in question, and click on the ‘Filter’ button on the right-side of the screen:
A pop-up will appear on the right-side of the screen, and you will need to scroll down to find the ‘Score’ filter. From the dropdown, select the relevant option (for example, scored between 80-90%), and any Application that has been scored within that score range will appear:
To filter Applications using Score + Tags, underneath the Score option, you will see the ‘With Tag’ option, and the ‘Without Tag’ option. Choose between the 2 setting options for Tags, then select the relevant Tag from the dropdown box:
4. How to View Scoring in Applications
For a Team Leader/Team Member to view the score on any Application, they will have to logon to the Portal using their log-in credentials. They will have to navigate to the Form in question, then click on ‘Applications’, ‘Complete’ or ‘Draft’ to view specific Applications for that Form:
Navigate to the Application that you wish to view the scoring on. Click on ‘Manage’, and a pop-up will appear on the right. Click on ‘Scoring’:
The Score-Bar will appear, and you will also see ‘Overall Average Score’. This is a clickable button:
Once you click on Overall Average Score, a pop-up will appear showing you the Scoring Breakdown for that Application:
